11/02/16   Ramsey Community Receives $2,500.00 Grant For Historical Marker

Governor Asa Hutchinson, AEDC Executive Director Mike Preston, AEDC Vice President of Operations Amy Fecher and Rural Services Director Alex Johnston presented 261-thousand-512-dollars to 27 rural communities on Thursday, October 13. The funding came from the Arkansas Rural Community  grant program.

In attendance were representatives of the Ramsey community in Dallas County to receive a grant for $2,500.00 to purchase a historical marker. Those in attendance included Dallas County Judge Jimmy Jones, Donna Jones, Rupert Rodgers and John Ramer. Judge Jones talked about the Ramsey of yesteryear.

The Arkansas Economic Development Commission Division of Rural Services works in partnership with the Arkansas Rural Development commission to select the Arkansas Rural Community Grant Program recipients.
