11/01/16   Teacher Recruiting Going On Today

An all out effort to recruit teachers who want to teach in South Arkansas Schools is taking place today at the South Central Education Service Cooperative at 2235 California Ave S-W in Camden.

According to Karen Kay McMann, teacher coordinator for the coop, the event is free with no registration required. Dr. Albert Snow, who brought McMann to be a guest on KQ-102.3's "South Arkansas Today" , said recruiting teachers for south Arkansas schools has always been difficult.

McMann says an effort is being put forth to get teachers back who have let their licenses lapse.

The event gets underway this afternoon at 3pm and runs till 7pm. McMann says it's a “come and go” event and if you have questions, call 836-1609.
