92 year old Ernest Clark “E.C.” “Bubba” Benton Jr. of Little Rock died Thursday. He was a 1942 graduate of Fordyce High School.

He served in the U.S. Air Force during World War II and was a sargeant in the “Red Raiders” Bomb squadron in the Pacific theater. He spent his career in the insurance industry and served as a member of the Arkansas House of Representatives from 1976 to 1983.

Visitation will be at noon today with memorial services at 1pm at Westover Hills Presbyterian Church in Little Rock. Interment with military recognition at 4pm this afternoon at Oakland Cemtery in Fordyce.
