10/26/16   Early Voting Appears To Be Heavy

 

Thousands of Arkansans have already voted early for the November general election. Secretary of State Mark Martin's office said yesterday. 37,240 people voted early on Monday, the first day of early voting. Martin has predicted that potentially 70 percent of the state's 1.7 million registered voters will cast a ballot in the general election.

According to Suzie Williams, Dallas County Clerk, 124 early votes were cast at the old Post Office building downtown, and the total number of votes cast yesterday at Holly Springs won't be known until today sometime.

In Ouachita County, county clerk Britt Williford said 458 Ouachita County voters voted early on Monday and 412 yesterday.

Today in Dallas County, in addition to the old Post Office location, voters can  vote at Manning at the Manning Fire Department on highway 8.
