10/26/16   Dumas Man Dies In Two Vehicle Accident

A 31 year old Dumas man died in a two vehicle crash within the city limits of Dumas on Sunday. According to a preliminary State Police report, the man was identified as Tyron James.

The report states that James was northbound on North Oak Street in a 1998 Olds Cutlass, a 1999 Chevy Truck, driven by an unidentified person was eastbound on Waterman. James went through the intersection and was struck by the truck. The driver of the truck and a passenger were not injured.

The crash was investigated by Patrolman Dustin H. James of the Dumas Police Department. Weather conditions were clear, the roadway dry at the time of the crash at 9:20 Sunday night.
