10/24/16   There Is Opposition For Two City Council Seats In Bearden

 

There are two races for Bearden City council this year.  Paula Bounds, who has served as Ward One, Position One councilman is not running for reelection. There are two Bearden men vying for that position on the council, Terry Weatherly and Rayfor Wright.

The Ward Two, Position Two seat on the city council is now held by Ronny Quarles, Jay Doherty Jr. is running against him.

On the state level, for State Senate, District 27, the incumbent is Democrat Bobby J. Pierce of Sheridan, the challenger is Trent Garner a Republican from Harmony Grove.

For State Representative, District 7, the candidates are Floyd M. Thomas Jr. a Democrat, Glenn Glover an Independent and Sonia Eubanks, a Republican.

For Court of Appeals, Associate Judge, District 5, the candidates are Mark Klappenbach and James McMenis.
