10/14/16   Three Die In Two Seperate Accidents

 

Three people died in traffic crashes in Garland County this week. On Monday night, two people from Estero, Florida died in a crash on Highway 70 at the intersection with Kleinshore Road. According to a preliminary State Police report, the dead were identified as 26 year old Cassandra Marie Braun and 24 year old Tavon Desean Jenkins, both of Estero, Florida. The State Police report indicates that a 2016 Dodge charger, driven by 35 year old Brian Ray of Hot Springs was eastbound on Highway 70 and a 2011 Chevy Malibu driven by Cassandra Braun was headed westbound on highway 70, the report states the two vehicles impacted at the intersection of Kleinshore Road. Ray was taken to St. Vincent's in Hot Springs for treatment. The weather was clear, the roadway dry at the time of the crash at 9:23pm Monday night.

The other fatality in Garland county occurred early Tuesday morning on the Martin Luther King expressway at Malvern Avenue in Hot Springs. It was a one vehicle crash. 48 year old Jeffrey W Holmes of Hot Springs died when the 2009 Chevy pickup he was driving east on the Martin Luther King expressway at Malvern Avenue went off the road and an embankment. The roadway was dry, weather clear at the time of the crash at 1:56 am Tuesday morning. The accident was investigated by officer Shawn Stillian of the Hot Springs police department.
