10/11/16   Four Die In Two Vehicle Accident

 

Four Berryville residents died and three more were injured in a head-on crash involving two vehicles on Sunday afternoon. According to State Police the crash occurred on U.S. Highway 62 at Rock Crusher in Carroll County.

A 2004 Toyota driven by 36 year old Benita Langinbelik of Berryville was headed east on U.S. 62, crossed the center line, colliding head-on with a west bound 2001 Ford driven by 70 year old Jack L. Rogers of Berryville. Both drivers died in the crash. Also killed in the crash was 60 year old Newoj Bokjen and a minor child, both passengers in the vehicle driven by Langinbelik.

70 year old Ethel L. Rogers and two children, passengers in Langinbelik's vehicle were injured and taken to a Springfield, Missouri Hospital.

Weather conditions were clear, the roadway dry when the crash occurred at 12:36 Sunday afternoon. State Trooper Drew H. Widner investigated the crash. That brought the number of highway fatalities in Arkansas to 410 so far this year.
