09/07/16 Camden Woman Accused Of Passing $100.00 Counterfeit Bills |
A 35 year old Camden woman has been charged with forgery. Ami S. Thompson of Camden was charged on July 26, after she passed a counterfeit one hundred dollar bill at Wal-Mart in Camden. Following her arrest, investigators found another $390.00 in counterfeit currency in her vehicle. Thompson told investigators she had passed counterfeit bills 4 times at Wal-Mart and only one clerk spotted the fake money. But she was not arrested at that time. She was arrested after the counterfeit bill was discovered in the cash drawer. Investigators then went back and reviewed surveillance video and Thompson was arrested and charged. |
