Police officers in cities across America are getting a bad rap due to the actions of a few officers. On a recent KQ-102.3's "South Arkansas Today" broadcast, Fordyce Police Chief Jimmy Vaughn said its all about public perception, he said Fordyce Police officers are there to help not harm anyone. He also said Fordyce officers are now equipped with body cameras.

Fordyce Police Chief Jimmy Vaughn said his department will be participating in the state wide crack down on drunk drivers over the Labor Day holiday period and will report back to us on violations, if any in Fordyce.
