08/24/16   Upcoming Election Promises Two Races For Bearden City Council

There will be two contested city council races in Bearden this upcoming election. For Ward one, position one on the Bearden City Council, a seat currently held by Paula Bounds is being sought by Terry Weatherly and Rayford Wright.

For Ward 2, position 2 seat on the council, a seat currently held by Ronnie Quarles is being challenged by Jay Doherty Jr.  Quarles is seeking re-election.

Bearden city council members Bobby Steelman and Denise Link have filed for re-election.

Bounds, Melvia Buckley, representing Ward two, position one and Lois Hopkins, representing Ward three, position two did not file.
