08/04/16   Camden Man Charged With Driving While Intoxocated

Camden police officer Corey Sanders on August 1, while patrolling West Washington at Agee observed a vehicle stopped for traffic as though he was at a 4 way stop, which he wasn't. When the driver of the vehicle, 36 year old Jackson T. Jacobs of Camden started moving, officer Sanders could see the vehicle had a flat tire on the right front and was driving on the rim.

Sanders then made a traffic stop and when approaching the vehicle could smell intoxicants. Jacobs was the only occupant in the car and admitted to drinking some beer. He told Sanders he was trying to get to an air hose to get some air in his tire. After a field sobriety test, Jacobs was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated, refusal to submit to breath test and possession of marijuana. Jacobs was also cited for careless and prohibited driving.
