Funeral services for 96 year old Clifton Henry “Buddy” Marshall of Carthage will be held Saturday morning at 9 at Temple Baptist Church in Fordyce with Dr. Roger Copeland and Brother Jeremy Horton officiating with interment at Hampton springs Cemetery at Carthage. Visitation will be Friday from 6:30-8:30 at Benton Funeral Home in Fordyce.

During WWII, Marshall supervised and guarded German POW'S at Camp Robinson. He pastored Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church in New Edinburg and Shady Grove Baptist Church in Dallas County. His wife and him, the former Lois Nadine Massey of Fordyce were married 70 years before her death in 2013. Benton Funeral Home in Fordyce in charge of arrangements.
