Several criminal cases were filed on July 15 in Dallas County Circuit Court by Deputy Prosecutor Tom Wynne. Charges of residential burglary, theft of firearms and theft of approximately $800.00 in coins and currency was filed against 25 year old Nikita D. Henderson of Fordyce. The charges were filed against Henderson in connection with  break-ins at two Fordyce residences. On April 25, Henderson is alleged to have broken into the Stan Jones home at 407 Mentor and took a 9mm handgun and some money. On May 8, Henderson is alleged to have broken into the Paul Holt home at 423 Overstreet and took a large amount of coins and some currency. The handgun taken in the Jones break-in was later recovered at Bailey's Pawn Shop.

On July 15, Wynne filed charges of possession of drug paraphernalia against 43 year old Jennifer Kathryn Johnson of Sparkman. Johnson was also charged with hindering the apprehension of Colt Rucker. According to information filed in court, Dallas County Sheriff's deputies were attempting to revoke Rucker's bond and went to Johnson's residence where they found Rucker hiding under the bed. While in the home, officers found drug paraphernalia and charged Johnson.

Also on the July15, Deputy prosecutor Tom Wynne filed charges of tampering with physical evidence and possession of drug paraphernalia against 58 year old Lewis Wayne Marshall of Fordyce. Fordyce police arrested Marshall after encountering him on a city street and became suspicious when they smelled intoxicants on him. He was arrested on a parole warrant, tampering with evidence, possession of drug paraphernalia and obstruction of government operations.

On July 14, the prosecutor's office charged 34 year old Geoffrey A. Hall of Sparkman with terroristic threatening and aggravated assault. The charges were the result of an incident on May 11 in which Hall is alleged to have threatened the life of Somer Michelle Johnson with a weapon.

Another Sparkman man, 21 year old Jerry Hammonds has been charged with possession of meth or cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia. Those charges came as the result of a traffic stop on October 1,  by a Dallas County Deputy.
