07/19/16   Electricity Restored To 138,000 Homes After Several Days Outages

Entergy Arkansas says it's restored electricity of 138,000 homes and businesses that lost power during severe thunderstorms Thursday. Some of  those customers had been without electricity for several days in the sweltering temperatures, prompting the city of Little Rock to open cooling centers.

Entergy says all customers that can receive electricity safely have been restored, but crews are working isolated cases. About one thousand customers were without power yesterday morning.

A customer service representative at Ouachita Electric Coop yesterday afternoon told us all their customers were back in service.

We spoke with Cary Dunn, Emergency Services Director for Dallas County and he told us anyone that doesn't have adequate air conditioning can go to the Fordyce Civic Center for relief from the heat.
