A well known Cleveland County resident has died. 86 year old Ruth Wynn Carmical Sadler of Rison died Tuesday at Green House Cottages in Rison.

Mrs. Sadler assisted her husband Bill and family in many ways over the years with publication of the Cleveland County Herald at Rison until it was sold in 2002. First and foremost in her life though, Mrs. Sadler was a Home Economics teacher, teaching one year at Marianna and then in Rison for 30 years, retiring in 1995.

She served in leadership positions in several professional associations and was featured as a “Vocational Pace Setter” by the Arkansas Department of Vocational Education, family and consumer sciences division.

Funeral services will be held at 10 Friday morning at Rison First United Methodist Church with Reverend Ike Mohr and Brother Lanis Lindsey officiating. Interment at Greenwood Cemetery in Rison. Funeral arrangements by Buie Funeral Home in Rison.
