07/11/16   CADC Taking Applications To Assist With Energy Bills

 

Central Arkansas Development Council has begun taking applications for Regular and Crisis Low Income Energy Assistance Program. The program assists households with home energy and heating bills. Eligible households must meet income guidelines and furnish proof of all household income for the month prior to applying.

To qualify for assistance, persons must have a disconnect notice with a disconnect date within 7 days of application. To apply for assistance, customers are required to show a picture ID. Customers must also show a copy of their electric and gas bill regardless of the bill they're wanting paid. Applications will be accepted on a first come, first served basis.

In Dallas County, applications are accepted Monday thru Wednesday at the CADC office in Fordyce at 410 East 4th, 8am till noon. Call 870-352-8894 for more information.

In Calhoun County, applications will be accepted Monday thru Wednesday 8:30am till 12 noon at CADC office at 210 Lee Street in Hampton. Call 870-798-2497 for more information.

In Ouachita County, applications will be accepted at the CADC office at 313 Jefferson, Monday thru Wednesday, 8am till 12 noon. Call 870-836-3200 for more information.

Allow 35 days for CADC to make payment. CADC is a private nonprofit action agency formed in 1965 to fight the “War on Poverty”.
