07/05/16   Registration For Home Energy Assistance Begins Today In Dallas County

Residents in Dallas County may begin applying for Regular and Crisis Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program utility assistance this morning at 8am. Applications are accepted Monday thru Wednesday at the CADC Fordyce office at 410 East 4^th Monday thru Wednesday, 8am till noon. For more information, call 870-352-8894. Summer LIHEAP will assist households with electric bills only.

To apply for assistance, customers are required to show a picture ID and customers must also show a copy of their electric and gas bill, regardless of the bill wanting to be paid. Assistance is available on the first come, first serve basis.

CADC has been funded 2 million 389 thousand dollars for the program which will be provided in 11 counties besides Dallas, including Calhoun and Ouachita  Counties.

In Calhoun County, applications will be taken beginning today at the CADC  office at 210 Lee Street in Hampton, Monday thru Wednesday, 8:30am till l2 noon. Call 870-798-2457 for more information.
