Deputy prosecutor for the 13th Judicial District, division four, Phillip A. Stone filed several criminal charges in Ouachita County Circuit court on June 20.

41 year old Tyrone Clifton Harris of Fordyce was charged with 3rd degree domestic battery on a pregnant woman. The charges stem from an incident that occurred on April 23. The woman that Harris is charged with striking is two months pregnant with his child. The report indicates that Harris got upset with the woman because she was talking on the phone to the father of another one of her children. There were three children present at the time of the incident ages 4 to 8.

Stone charged 31 year old Larry Blake Barnes of Bearden with possession of a firearm by a felon. Barnes was convicted of two counts of residential burglary in 2006 and was placed on five years probation in April of this year for breaking and entering.

34 year old Curtis Nussey of Bearden was charged with possession of a controlled substance, meth or cocaine, possession of drug paraphernalia, fleeing on foot and resisting arrest.

On May 25, Bearden police officer Dustin Vaughn was on patrol and observed a juvenile out after curfew and while attempting to contact his mother, Brandi Walters, Walter's boy friend , Curtis Nussey walked out of a camper behind the house being loud and beligerent.. Ouachita County deputy Nicholson arrived to assist Vaughn. Vaughn was advised by the dispatcher at the Sheriff's office that there were warrants out on both Walters and Nussey. When officers attempted to take Nussey in custody he tried to flee through a hole in the laundry room floor. Deputy Nicholson had to drag Nussey out from under the house. A search of Nussey's camper uncovered baggies containing suspected meth, a metal spoon and two syringesone with a residue believed to be blood. Nussey was taken into custody and charged.
