06/14/16   The Old Train Depot In Bearden Is Scheduled To Be Moved Tomorrow

If all goes as planned the old train depot that sits out of the edge of town at Bearden will be moved to its new location tomorrow, according to Bearden Mayor Iva Lou Stoker.

The depot will be transformed into a library-museum complex. The mayor says the work has just begun on the transformation.

The mayor told the council the next city council meeting in July will be held at the Launius building on 3^rd street to accommodate residents interested in the water tower project. The council has to pass a bond ordinance. The meeting is open to the public.
