06/14/16   Two Killed Two Injured In Two Car Crash Sunday

 

Two people died in a two car crash in Garland county on Sunday afternoon. According to State Police, 32 year old John A. Collum of Mena and 24 year old Maribel Bovadilla of Lowell were killed in the crash.

Two White Hall residents were injured, 79 year old Jimmie McKissack and 50 year old Christine McKissack.

According to the report, a 1995 Honda Civic, driven by John Collum of Mena was headed west on highway 270. A 2013 Chevy SUV, driven by Jimmie McKissack was headed east.

Collum failed to maintain control, crossing left of center, striking the McKissack vehicle. The McKissacks were taken to St. Vincent's in Hot Springs for treatment.

Weather conditions were cloudy, the roadway dry at the time of the crash at  3:10pm on Sunday afternoon. Corporal James W. Avant of the State Police investigated the accident.
