06/13/16   Pine Bluff Police Identify Two Suspects In May 14 Murder

 

Pine Bluff Police Detectives have now identified two suspects in the murder of Andre Eason at 19th and Poplar Streets on May 14.  According to Pine Bluff information officer Lt. David Price,  35 year old Travis Maurice Price is wanted for Capital Murder and is considered armed and dangerous. The second suspect is 18 year old Marvin Lavelle Westbrook of Pine Bluff.

On June 9, police received a tip that Westbrook was at a convenience store at 28th and Catalpa. When police made contact with Westbrook and initiated a traffic stop, the vehicle sped away with police in pursuit. The chase went through the west side of Pine Bluff, into Dollarway, into the White Hall area and to I-530. When the vehicle got on I-530, the right rear tire blew out and the pursuit continued into Pulaski County at speeds of 100 miles per hour. Pulaski County deputies and State Police got involved in the chase and at exit 7 on I-530, Pulaski County deputies attempted to deploy spike strips to disable the vehicle but were unsuccessful. 

The chase continued to an apartment complex on Briley Boulevard where the suspect stopped. Westbrook ran into an apartment where he was taken into custody without incident. Two other individuals were taken into custody and transported back to Pine Bluff. One of the occupants of the car was 19 year old Derrick Harris of North Little Rock, wanted for aggravated robbery in Little Rock. The third occupant in the vehicle, a 20 year old female was questioned by detectives and released without charges.

Westbrook was booked into the Jefferson County Jail for Capital Murder. Travis Price is still at large and wanted for Capital murder. If you have any information, call the Pine Bluff Police department detective division at 870-730-2090.
