A number of items were taken care of on the agenda of the Cleveland County Quorum Court on Monday night. According to Cleveland County Clerk Jimmy Cummings, Judge Gary Spears read an ordinance to purchase a used track hoe, using the old one as a trade in financing the balance. The ordinance was passed.

Judge Spears updated the court on a state-aid road bid opening on May 11. The successful bidder was C&S Construction with a bid of $176,000. The Judge also updated the court on the progress of the Woodlawn Child Care facility. The judge said the walls are up and completion is expected September 1. 

Lynn Wooley inquired about possible ordinances regarding cemetery vandalism and being in a cemetery after dark. Sheriff Jack Rogers says the county does have an ordinance on the books prohibiting being in a cemetery after certain times.  Attorney Tom Wynne advised that there could be violations for criminal mischief and trespassing.

Justice Don Triplett made a motion that the July meeting be moved to Thursday July 7,  at 7pm in the Cleveland county courthouse courtroom. The motion was passed.
