On May 19, Deputy Prosecuting Attorney for the 13^th Judicial District, R. Jeffrey Sawyer filed charges against 34 year old Bonnie Rosales Hazel of Camden. Hazel was charged with 2^nd degree battery, possession of a controlled substance, meth or cocaine, possession of a narcotic, and resisting arrest. 

According to a police report filed with the charges, police responded to a report of a disruptive person at an address on Agee Street.  When police encountered Hazel she was uncooperative and combative, refusing to be taken into custody peaceably. Hazel is reported to have kicked one officer and bit another before officers finally got her into a police car. That incident occurred on April 6.
