05/19/16    Annual Youth Fishing Derby Saturday In Camden

This Saturday, the Ouachita County Extension service, Ouachita county 4-H and the Camden Police department in cooperation with Game and Fish will host the annual Youth Fishing Derby at Camden Fariview School Pond.

The derby will begin at 7:30 for first time fishermen. All youth 15 and under are welcome from 8:30 till noon. Ouachita Extension agent Keri Welch said this is the first year for the Camden Police Department to participate.

There will be free hot dogs provided by the police department all fishermen 15 and under. Each child will be allowed one fishing pole and a limit of 5 fish. An adult must be present with every child. For more information, call Keri Welch at 870-231-1160.
