05/18/16    Free Stanford University Diabetic Workshop Today In Camden

 

Another free Stanford University Diabetic self-management workshop will be held this morning from 10-11:30am at the Ouachita County Extension office in Camden. Ouachita County extension agent Addie Wilson, on KQ-102.3's "Bearden Brunch Bunch"  broadcast recently was asked why she thought diabetes is so prevalent nowadays.

The program is free but registration is required. If you don't get registered in time for this week's workshop, another one will be held next Wednesday and each Wednesday morning until June 1. A cooking class conducted by Wilson will be held following the workshop.

Tomorrow evening at El Dorado Best Care training will be held for early childhood professionals. According to Wilson the training provides 10 hours of free, verified face-to-face training. Areas of emphasis include child development, health nutrition and resource management.
