On a recent "South Arkansas Today" broadcast on KQ-102.3, Fordyce Superintendent Dr. Albert Snow talked about the difficulty of hiring and keeping good teachers, and the problem of students leaving the district. Snow says he offered a bonus this year to teachers in high demand.

Snow says it's difficult to compete on salary with the wealthier districts.

And then there's the problem of losing students to another district.
