According to Fordyce Police Chief Jimmy Vaughn, Fordyce police officers made a total of 16 arrests between May 2 and May 9.

Included in those reports, charges of loitering and possession of a controlled substance were filed by officer Charles Still against 18 year old Cross Terry Van and 18 year old Jackson Payne Roark, both of Fordyce. That incident occurred May 4.

Officer Michael Rhodes cited 29 year old Natalie Belin of Fordyce on May 5 for driving on a suspended license and running a stop sign. Belin was also charged with theft.

On May 6, officer Bryce McKinney arrested and charged 33 year old Octavian Miller of Fordyce with DWI, no signal lights, careless and prohibited driving and refusal to submit.

On May 7, McKinney arrested and charged 38 year old Jacob Allen Warnack of Bearden with an equipment violation, driving on a suspended license, possession of drug paraphernalia and contempt. Also on May 7 officer Michael Rhodes arrested 26 year old Desmond Smith of Fordyce and charged him with violation of the hot check law.

On May 8, officer McKinney arrested and charged 34 year old Marcus Delynn Brown of Thornton with DWI, public intoxication, possession of a controlled substance, driving on a suspended license, no vehicle license, no liability insurance and driving without a seat belt.

The man who is accused of breaking into the shop at Dennis Teague Motors and taking a classic Mustang belonging to Keith Keaton is finally behind bars. According to a Fordyce Police report, 24 year old Justin James Lash of Fordyce was arrested by officer Brandon Williamson on May 9. He's currently incarcerated at the Dallas County Detention Center. Lash took the car and took it for a joy ride down highway 167 toward Hampton where he evidently lost control of the vehicle and wrecked it. The incident occurred last month but Lash was just found and arrested May 9.

On May 10, officer Bryce McKinney arrested 31 year old Desmond Lewis Childs of Fordyce and charged him with multiple traffic violations, including improper display, no vehicle license, fictitious tags, driving on a suspended license, no liability insurance, fleeing and possession of drug paraphernalia.
