In Bearden District Court on April 21, District Judge Dan Ives heard a number of cases including the trial of Johnny Link of Bearden. Link was charged with three counts of 3rd degree assault, first degree criminal trespass, first degree harassing communication and  failure to appear. One charge of 3rd degree assault was nol prossed (dismissed) because a witness didn't show. Link pled not guilty on all the charges. Judge Ives levied a total of $1,575.00 in fines and court cost against Link. Link paid $200.00 the day of the trial and was ordered to pay $200.00 a month until the fines are paid off.

Alex Anderson of Bearden was charged on December 2 of last year with possession of an instrument of crime, possession of marijuana, resisting arrest, fleeing and failure to appear. Anderson entered a guilty plea to the charge of possession of an instrument or crime and possession of marijuana. The other charges were dismissed.

Shelia Cain had her trial re-set for May 19 on a charge of failure to pay fines.

Amy Caldwell of Bearden had her trial re-set for May 19 as well. She was charged with failure to present registration of vehicle and driving on a suspended license.

Dantarius Cooper of Bearden paid $120.00 on a speeding violation.

Dillon Johnson of Benton failed to appear in court on a charge of driving on a suspended license. The Judge set his fine at $195.00 and issued a bond for $500.00 for failure to appear.

Joseph Labeff of Thornton failed to appear in court on a contempt charge. Judge Ives set bond at $500.00.

Samantha Miller of Bearden, charged with theft of property and failure to appear, had her case re-set for May 19.

Marquise Nelson of Bearden, charged with criminal mischief, had his case dismissed.

Kenny Rogers of Bearden had his contempt of court case re-set for June 16 providing Rogers pay $500.00 by April 22 and $1,000.00 by June 16.

Zachary Rogers of Pine Bluff was found guilty of not having liability insurance and speeding. Judge Ives ordered him to pay $70.00 for no proof of insurance and $120.00 on the speeding violation.

Landra Russell of Bearden did not appear in court on charges of not having a drivers license, no vehicle tags and no liability insurance. Judge Ives set bond at $1,200.00. She was found guilty on driving with no license, the other charges were dismissed

 Melvin White of Fordyce failed to appear in court on a contempt charge. Judge Ives set bond at $500.00 dollars.
