04/25/16   Six Counties represented At Cemetery Workshop At Chambersville

According to Dallas County Extension agent Keith Gresham, the multi-county Cemetery Workshop, held at Chambersville Fire Department last Monday was well attended, 65 attended with 6 counties represented.

Holly Hope, with the Arkansas Historical preservation program talked about cemetery safety and maintenance and Rusty Brenner with Texas Gravestone Cleaners did a demonstration on cleaning grave stones using proper methods and products.

Gresham said 11 attended from Cleveland County. 24 from Dallas County. 24 from Calhoun County. One from Bradley County. Two attended from Pulaski County and one from Faulkner County, and one from Dallas, Texas.

Gresham did a fire ant abatement demonstration. In a recent interview on KQ-102.3's "South  Arkansas Today", Gresham talked about the fire ant abatement demonstration that he did at the workshop. He told us what the extension service recommends for fire ant abatement application.
