04/25/16   Texas Woman Dies In Motorcycle Accident Over The Weekend

A Mt. Pleasant, Texas woman died in a motorcycle wreck in Miller County early Saturday morning on I-49 at the 27 mile marker. According to a preliminary State Police report, 38 year old Jennifer Vandenberg, a passenger on a 2007 Harley Davidson motor cycle, being driven by her husband, 37 year old Vernon Vandenberg was pronounced dead at the scene by Miller County Coroner Gary Carter.

The motorcycle was southbound on I-49 when Vandenberg lost control from a blowout and the motorcycle overturned, killing Jennifer. Vernon Vandenberg was taken to a Texarkana, Texas hospital. The extent of his injuries not known at the time of this report.

The skies were clear, the roadway dry at the time of the crash at 1:44 Saturday morning. Texarkana, Arkansas police investigated the accident. Vandenberg became the 140^th person to die on Arkansas roadways since the first of the year.
