Thirty-six year old Trent Edwin Carter of Camden died Tuesday at his home. He worked as an ER Nurse at the Ouachita County Medical Center.

Carter joined the U-S Army in 2006 and served until 2011, achieving the rank Sgt, serving as an Airborne scout. Trent served in Iraq and Afghanistan, receiving the Army Commendation Medal, and several other awards including the General George S. Patton Jr. Outstanding Trooper Award and the Purple Heart.

In 2016, Carter became EMT certified and worked for an ambulance service in Pine Bluff. A memorial service will be held this morning at 10 at Cullendale First Baptist Church with visitation from 9-10 prior to the service. Proctor Funeral Home of Camden in charge of arrangements.
