04/11/16   Bearden City Council Meets April 11 To Discuss Water Tower

 

The Bearden City Council will be meeting at the Launius Community Building on 3rd street in Bearden on April 11 at 6:30 to discuss the water towers. A representative of A.L. Franks Engineering will be on hand to address plans and concerns that residents may have concerning the project. 

At the past city council meeting last week, city alderman, Link reported to the council that the funds are in place to move the old train depot into town. Another fund raiser to assist in the purchase of other things needed for the library-museum complex was discussed.

Mayor Iva Lou Stoker reported that she attended a meeting in Little Rock concerning grant money the city applied for. The city was turned down for the Walking Trails grant. She said the city will apply again next year.

The date for the annual Gazebo Fesitval in Bearden has been set for the  weekend of June 18.
