04/08/16   Dallas County Circuit Court

Second degree escape charges have been filed in Circuit Court in Dallas County against 38 year old Paul Grice of Warren. The charges were filed on April 4 against Grice, who on his second try was able to climb over the Dallas County Detention Center fence and make a getaway. That occurred on February 7, when Grice left his pod at the jail, went behind the shop, threw a blanket over the razor wire and climbed over. Grice called Stephanie Smith and Royce Hall, who picked Grice up on Tri-County Road and transported him to a Monticello residence occupied by Amanda Parks. Someone at that residence alerted authorities that Grice was  there, Monticello police responded, Grice fled and was taken back into custody the next day and brought back to Fordyce. In addition to the escape charges, deputy prosecutor Tom Wynne hopes to be able to try Grice under the habitual criminal statute that allows for a longer prison stay.

On April 5,  Wynne filed theft of property charges against 35 year old Angela Kay Cranford of Fordyce, former employee of Media 3. Cranford is charged with the theft of over $5,900.00 in bank deposits. Charges against Cranford were filed in October of 2014.

Criminal charges have been filed against 25 year old Weley Isaac Bluhm of Leasburg, Missouri. Bluhm is alleged to have threatened to kill Billy Hendrix of Fordyce. That incident occurred November 6, 2015.

Thirty-two year old Terrell Lamar Ross of Fordyce has been charged with kidnapping, terroristic threatening, 2nd degree battery and endangering the welfare of a minor, in connection with an incident that occurred on January 7. According to information filed in court, Summer Beaver told investigators that Ross abducted her and took her in her car to his residence in Calhoun County where he beat her. There was an infant child in the home at the time of the kidnapping. Deputy Prosecutor Tom Wynne is also seeking to have Ross tried under the habitual criminal statute that allows the judge to hand out a harsher penalty if convicted
