04/08/16   1590 KBJT AM Temporarily Off The Air For Repairs (Update)

It will be late Tuesday or Wednesday before KBJT is able to return to the air.  Some of KBJT's Sunday programs will be moved to KQ-102.3.

Sunday Church Programs normally heard on KBJT-AM 1590 will be heard on our sister station KQ-102.3 FM.  The schedule will be as follows:

7:15am  Potter's House Program

7:30am  ABC Ministry with Lois Avery

8:00am  Time Out For Joy with Travis and Carolyn Jackson

9:15am  Beech Grove Baptist Church

9:45am  The Pentecostals of Fordyce

12:00noon First Baptist Church Morning Worship Service

Wednesday morning, a rare component on the KBJT Tower failed and the radio station lost power.  An entire day was lost while the engineers identified the problem. The part is having to be constructed in New Mexico and shipped to Fordyce.

When the item arrives the tower crew and the engineers will return, install the part and re-tune the tower. Owner, Gary Coates said he was not sure how long this will take, but it will be several days.

Coates said he hoped everyone will bear with us while these repairs are made and the station can return to the air with your favorite programs and an improved signal. In the mean time you can tune to KQ-102.3 FM for local news and area programming.
