04/07/16   Annual Trail Ride Raises $11,500.00 For Children's Hospital

According to Hank Mayhan of Holly Springs Baptist Church and sponsor of the annual Taco Howard Memorial trail ride, the ride this year was a big success with 35 horses, 6 wagons and 40 ATV's participating.

Mayhan said the trail ride brought in around $11,500.00 for Children's Hospital in Little Rock. Mayhan said he won't have a grand total until the receipts of a rummage sale to be held next month are tabulated. In an interview prior to the trail ride last Saturday, Ronnie Hogg said a total of $41,556.had been raised through the trail ride from 2011 till last year and Hogg says a lot more money is raised throughout the state through trail rides.

The trail ride is a joint effort of Holly Springs Baptist and Holly Springs Methodist churches.
