04/01/16   Feral Hog Workshop Set For April 12

A feral hog control workshop is scheduled for the Fordyce Civic Center on April 12, at 6pm, sponsored by the Arkansas Cooperative Extension service. Some of the topics to be covered include Natural History and biology of feral hogs. There will be trap demonstrations, trapping tricks and advice, using trail cameras for surveillance of the hogs, feral hog hunting and trapping regulations, and a question and answer session. Dallas County Extension agent Keith Gresham told us in a recent interview to be careful when processing feral hogs.

Refreshments will be sponsored by the Arkansas Forestry Association and  a door prize will be awarded at the conclusion of the program. Call 352-3505 if you plan to attend.
