In District Court in Bearden on March 17, Judge Dan Ives had a pretty full docket once again.

Marcus Brown of Thornton on Feb 17,  was cited for driving with a suspended license. Brown did not appear in court. He was fined a total of $195.00 dollars and the judge set bond at $500.00.

Terre Caldwell of Fordyce, cited by Bearden police with careless driving, paid fines totaling $140.00.

Ulysses Carroll of Camden did not appear in court on a speeding violation. Judge Ives set bond at $500.00.

Michael Dean of Bearden, charged with public intoxication and criminal trespass and failure to appear paid $200.00 in fines.

Travis Jackson of Fordyce, cited by Bearden police for having expired tags on his vehicle was fined $120.00.

Chris King of Fordyce, who owes the city of Bearden $1,030.00 in unpaid fines did not appear in court on charges of driving on a suspended license and no liability insurance. The judge had earlier ordered that King's drivers license be suspended indefinitely because he failed to appear in court to pay old fines. The judge set failure to appear bond at $800.00.

Johnny Link of Bearden, who was cited by Bearden police on two counts of 3rd degree assault, criminal trespass, harassing communication and failure to appear, entered a not guilty plea to all charges. It was not clear in the court record the disposition of the case.

Theresa Martin of Bearden was ordered to pay $70.00 for failing to wear a seat belt.

The case of William “Pete” Moseley of Bearden was transferred to circuit court on charges of 3rd degree domestic battery.

Kenny Rogers of Bearden entered a plea of not guilty to contempt of court. His case was rescheduled for April 21.  Rogers owes the city over $3,000.00 in unpaid fines.

Shamar Rogers of Fordyce paid $120.00 in district court on charges of disregarding a railroad crossing.

Jonathan Smith of fordyce paid $70.00 for a seat belt violation.

Melvin White of Fordyce, had his trial re-set for April 21 on charges of theft of property, hot check and contempt. Judge Ives ordered White to pay a total of $1,215.00

and make restitution in the amount of $125.00.

Trevon Williams of Fordyce, cited for driving on a suspended license was fined $195.00.
