03/25/16   Warren Downtown Being Considered For Historic Register

 

The State Review Board of the Arkansas Historic Preservation Program will consider 10 Arkansas properties, including the Warren Commercial Historic District at Warren in Bradley County, for nomination to the National Register of Historic Places when it meets at 10am on Wednesday, April 6 in Little Rock.

According to AHPP Director Frances McSwain, the board will also consider the circa 1880 Mt. Olive AME church at Mount Olive in Bradley County for listing on the Arkansas Register of Historic Places.

The Warren Commercial Historic District, containing most of downtown Warren, features buildings dating to 1890.
