 A well known Southeast Arkansas rice farmer has died at the age of 93. Donald Eifling of Grady died Tuesday.

Eifling bought Grassy Lake Farm in 1952 and lived in Grady the remainder of his life. In 1968, Rice Farming Magazine selected Eifling as Rice Farmer of the year after a national contest in which the editors studies scores of the very best rice operations across the country.

Funeral services will be held Friday morning at 10 at Grady United Methodist Church with visitation at 9am before the service. Graveside service interment at 2pm at Shiloh United Methodist Church and Cemetery at Crocketts Bluff.
