03/23/16  Felony Charges Filed In Ouachita County Circuit Court

 

Deputy prosecuting attorney for the 13th judicial district, Phillip A. Stone has filed felony drug charges against a Camden man.

Forty nine year old Gary Lee Furman of Camden has been charged with simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms, possession of meth with intent to deliver and possession of a firearm by a felon. The charges were made by Camden police following a traffic stop. It was discovered at that time that Furman had warrants out on him for failure to appear. When police searched Furman's vehicle, they discovered a baggie containing meth and a 38 caliber hand gun that Furman claimed belonged to his wife.

Stone also filed charges on March 17 against Derrick Wayne Scott of Camden. The 44 year old Scott was charged on February 2 with aggravated assault on a former girl friend, residential burglary, endangerment of a minor and theft of property.
