Funeral services for 78 year old Jerry Taylor, former mayor of Pine Bluff will be held at 2pm Tuesday at Watson Chapel Baptist Church in Pine Bluff, with visitation at 12:30 until time of services.

Taylor died Saturday of a rare brain disease. He was born in Rison and graduated from Rison High School in 1955. He was involved in politics for 32 years, serving as Pine Bluff City Councilman for 12 years, Pine Bluff mayor for 8 years, Arkansas State Representative for 4 years and State Senator for 8 years. He retired in 2012.
