03/21/16   Louisiana Man Dies In Freak Vehicle Accident

A fifty six year old Shreveport, Louisiana man died early Saturday morning when he was struck by an 18 wheeler on I-30 east bound in Miller County.

According to a preliminary state police report, Texarkana, Arkansas police were dispatched to the scene of a car fire. An investigation revealed that a 2000 Chevrolet, eastbound on I-30 had caught fire, and the driver, Sergio Garduno of Shreveport had exited his vehicle and was struck by an eastbound 2005 Freightliner.

Garduno was killed on impact. It was raining at the time of the incident at about midnight Saturday. The accident was investigated by Corporal Les Munn of the Texarkana, Arkansas police department.
