03/17/16   Area Gardeners Encouraged To Have Soil Tested

Ouachita County Extension agent Keri Welch, on KQ-102.3's Bearden Brunch Bunch, yesterday talked about gardening. She said it's never too late to do soil samples and encouraged anyone planning a garden to bring some soil samples to her office to have it tested so you can be better advised as to what nutrients your soil needs. Welch told said she anticipates insects will be a problem for gardens again this year.

Welch says one thing that will help your garden is to see to it that it is well drained.
