District Court Judge Dan Ives had a busy court day on February 18. Appearing before Judge Ives was Jason Bright of Bearden, who was ordered to pay $270.00 in fines and $75.00 in court cost for not having liability insurance. Josh Clemons of Bearden was ordered by Judge Ives to pay $200.00 for not having liability insurance, $195.00 for displaying fictitious tags and $120.00 for not having a copy of registration in his vehicle. Michael Doherty of Bearden failed to appear in court on charges of public intoxication and criminal trespassing. The judge posted a $1,000.00 cash bond on each charge. Nicholas Evans of Bearden paid a speeding fine of $145.00 for going 55 in a 35 mile per hour zone. Vicky Haisty of Monticello appeared in district court on charges of theft of property. She paid $440.00 and was ordered to pay restitution in the amount of $200.00. Homer Jones III of Bearden, cited for illegal dumping was ordered by judge Ives to serve 40 hours of public service. Bobby Lamber of Bearden paid a $145.00 fine for speeding 55 in a 35 mile per hour zone. Richard McCants of Bearden, who was cited for driving on a suspended license and no turn signal was ordered to pay $100.00 a month until his fines are paid. He also paid $200.00 on a charge of failure to appear. John McClain of Bearden appeared in court on several traffic violations, no vehicle tags, $120.00, No liability insurance, ordered to pay $345.00, Failure to present vehicle registration, $120.00, displaying fictitious tags, $195.00, driving on a suspended license $195.00 and not wearing a seat belt $70.00. He paid $225.00 the day of court and was ordered to pay the remaining $1,165.00 at a rate of $25.00 a week. Veronique McDaniel of Bearden, cited for failure to display vehicle tags, ordered to pay $120.00 and she was also fined $120.00 on a speeding violation. Clayton Rodgers of Bearden, cited for driving 70 in a 35 mile per hour zone on Anthony Drive paid a fine of $195.00. He also paid $120.00 dollars for careless and prohibited driving and he paid $70.00 dollars for not wearing a seat belt. Jimmie West of Thornton was charged with failure to have liability insurance and displaying fictitious tags, he was fined a total of $540.00. He paid $200.00 and was allowed to pay $50.00 a week for the remainder. |
