03/10/16   Ouachita County Quorum Court Spends $203,420.00 At This Month's Meeting

 

Four appropriations ordinances were approved by the Ouachita County Quorum Court Tuesday night.  An appropriation was approved in the amount of $32,620.00 for improvements at the Ouachita County detention center and for computer services. The money would come from anticipated jail revenue.

JP's approved the appropriation of $2,810.00 for full time salaries and social security funds for the county clerk's office. Funds would be paid out of the retirement bonus fund.

The 3rd appropriations ordinance passed was for a total of $163,000.00 for the purchase and financing of a 2014 John Deere grader. Judge McAdoo said there will be two payments..one this year and one next year. The funds will come from anticipated revenue from the highway fund.

The last appropriations ordinance approved by the JP's was for $5,000.00 in drug buy money. The money will be paid out of the jail operating fund.
