03/08/16   Who Let The Dogs Out

Tomorrow night at midnight 30 hog hunting teams, about 120 hunters in all will turn their hog dogs loose and the three day wild hog hunt is underway. It's the annual Razorback Roundup, headquartered in Fordyce, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Razorback Roundup founder, Jeremy Sullivent says 30 teams paid their entry fee.

Sullivent says a lot of thought goes into breeding a good hog dog.

Sullivent says it's difficult to train pups nowadays with the restrictions imposed on dog breeders.

According to Sullivent for the first time, the Arkansas Dog Hunters Association will be lobbying at the state legislature this year. The hog hunt wraps up this Saturday with the weigh-in around 3pm. The winners of $5,000.00 in prize money will be announced at that time, plus the winners of another $4,000.00 in prizes for other competition.
