03/07/16   Annual Razorback Roundup Takes Place This Weekend In Fordyce

This weekend the annual Razorback Round Up will be staged in Fordyce. The event is highlighted by a wild hog hunt but there is a squirrel hunt, coon hunt and fox hunt too, all sponsored by the Arkansas Dog Hunters Association.

Jeremy Sullivent of Fordyce is the organizer for the event and came up with the idea for the hog hunt. Sullivent says the event grows each year with the number of hunters and he expects 150 wild hogs will be checked in on the closing day this Saturday. Sullivent says there's more money and prizes to win this year too.

Sullivent says all the meat is donated to needy families.

Sullivent promotes the event as a family affair that will be staged in downtown Fordyce at the Armory Building area. There will be a greased pig contest for kids, a squirrel treeing contest and lots of vendors on hand. There's no admission charge.
