03/01/16   Primary Election Returns on KQ-102.3 And This Website

 

Today is primary election day in Arkansas. Polls open this morning at 7:30 and close tonight at 7:30. KQ-102.3 will be broadcasting results beginning at 8 o'clock. In Dallas County, there will be three democratic candidates on the ballot for the office of County-Circuit Clerk they include; Judy Turner, Pam Barnes and Mike McNichol. The incumbent, Suzie Williams decided not to run for re-election. 

There are two democratic candidates for the office of Dallas County Collector, the incumbent, Brenda Wilson Black, who's being challenged by Shawna May.

For Dallas County Assessor, Crystal N. Stroud is running against another democratic candidate, Venessa Pierce.

For District 9 constable, Danny Ford is being challenged by Kenneth Workman.. both democrats. At Sparkman, Mary W. Oliver..alderman for ward-one, position-one, is being challenged by Cecily Mann..both democrats.

In Ouachita County, Ouachita county circuit clerk, Betty R. Wilson is being challenged by Gladys Ferguson Nettles,both are democrats.

The other race in Ouachita county is for coroner. Sylvester Lee Smith Jr. is the incumbent, being challenged by Kenneth “Kenny” Morris, both are democrats. If necessary, a run off election will be held March 22nd.

Today is the deadline for county clerk's to receive by-mail ballots, excluding military and overseas. March 11th is the deadline for absentee ballots of overseas voters or armed services personnel serving in active status to be received by the county clerk.
