02/29/16  Arkadelphia Woman Dies In 4 Vehicle Crash

 

A 4 vehicle collision in Hot Spring County killed an 82 year old Arkadelphia woman last Monday. According to a preliminary report from the State Police, three vehicles, a car and three pick-up trucks were stopped for a school bus at the intersection of highway 67 south and Francis Road, when a truck rear ended one of the vehicles, causing a chain reaction collision.

Emma Farris of Arkadelphia was a passenger in a 1999 Chevy truck driven by her husband, 82 year old Don Farris of Arkadelphia. 38 year old Joel Weldon of Donaldson was the driver of the one-ton truck that rear ended the vehicle Mrs. Farris was a passenger in.

Mrs. Farris died at St. Vincent's in Little Rock as the result of her injuries, her husband and Weldon were also treated for their injuries. Their condition is unknown. The collision was investigated by State Trooper Terry Sawyer. The weather conditions were clear..the roadway dry at the time of the crash at 4:15 Monday afternoon.
